    Forgive my ignorance but I'm brand new to Vienna Instruments and Synchron.  I come from the world of Kontakt and Play libraries.  So I just bought Synchron Special Edition Volume 1.  The player is pretty cool and there is a lot I like about it, but especially considering the way that the impulse reveb works, I am a little surprised that it "seems" that it is not a multi-timbral instrument, in other words, you have to have a new instance of the player for every patch or instrument you want to have in a template?

    Also, I really like assigning the xfade for velocity to a slider.  I also like to using key velocity for short articulations.  Is there any way so that in any patch, I can have the sustains and legatos for example, using the velocity xfade slider but then switch to key velocity for the short articulations?  Just asking.

    I appreciate your help.

    Welcome Eric,

    Glad to hear that you like our instruments and software!

    The Synchron Player is indeed mono-timbral, so the idea is to have one instrument for each instance.

    You can use our own Vienna Ensemble host to organize your VSL instruments, it is installed along with Vienna Instruments and also included with any Synchron Series product.

    If you are looking for an even better way to create templates, check out Vienna Ensemble Pro 7!

    To exclude short articulations from Velocity Xfade, make sure you select the last slot to the right in the Dimension Tree (that actually contains the articulation), select the EDIT tab and set "Velocity Xfade" to "Off" (see screenshot).
