  • Safe to delete installation packs?

I have just installed BBO Andromeda (and Epic Orchestra 2.0 - busy Black Friday!) Now there are 4 folders on my drive including one each for BBO A. and Epic Orch. called T22_... and T03_... respectively. Can I go ahead and delete those two folders and just leave the main library folders intact? Those are called Big Bang Orchestra - Andromeda and Epic Orchestra 2.0. I opted not to delete the installation files after downloading so I presume that's what those two folders are? It's just they take up quite a lot of space. Thanks.

  • Hi,

You can safely delete the installation files (*.x and *.y files)

Your Synchron sample content consists of *.vsynvolume files.

  • Many thanks Paul. That's perfect.

One more question if I may. I also want to delete the original Epic Orchestra because E. O. 2.0 appears to include the same content. I don't have any other Vienna Instruments libraries so I could delete the software as well. However, the Uninstaller is not in the Vienna Instruments folder (Windows 7) so can you tell me the best way to uninstall it and the E. O. library? Thanks.

  • Hi,

You can delete the samples of the free BBO (*.vsynvolume files).

BUT it's only 1.5 GB... And as the BBO: Andromeda contains complete new recordings I’d say keep the previous version. Little things have been adapted.

Just one example: we wanted shorter shorts this time. So if you need them for any reason exactly as they have been perfomed in the free version, just use that version.

Sometimes it’s good to have more choices, even if the differences are subtle.

  • Thanks Paul, however I was asking about how to delete the original Epic Orchestra - I do intend to keep the free BBO as you advise.

Given this is a BBO forum, I will ask the question again in the appropriate place.
