  • discount question

    hey,

VSL have their thing about 'not paying for the same sample twice' - and it's a great thing! - but my question is this:

suppose you own the Orchestral Cube First edition [just as an example] and you decide to upgrade to Pro Edition but you only have to pay the discounted 'VIP' price, but what is it you recieve? Do you just get the 'new' samples or do you get the whole thing all over again but a wider edition?

  • You'd get the entire Symphonic Cube in the Pro Editon -- those samples already found in the First Edition plus the samples that are unique to the Pro, all on new disks.

In fact, if you've ever thought of cross-grading, it's a good time to do so when you move from FE to Pro. VSL offers that as an option. My FE is in Giga, and my Pro is in EXS. Then you'll have two sets for each platform, one basic (FE) and another complete (Pro).

Sometimes Pro has entirely new instruments, and other times, it's just a deeper fleshing out of the basic instruments found in FE. For example, string flautandos are in Pro, not the first.

You also get new Pro Edition books detailing everything in the Pro Edition. This all comes in a single VSL box callled "Upgrade."

  • Excellent, cool.

    Thanks mister.
