  • Hello Mark,

You can either validate the plug-in manually, if the Plug-in Manager in Logic's Preferences lets you do that.

Or you can reset your AU Cache, if that doesn't work:

In the Finder, choose "Go" > "Go to Folder" from the menu.

Type ~/Library/Caches in the "Go to the folder" field.

Press the Go button. Remove the "com.apple.audiounits.cache" file. Remove the ~/Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache folder.

Restart your computer, all plug-ins will be scanned again.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hello Paul,

My DAW is Digital Performer not Logic. Do you know of a DP solution for manual validation for DP? I will attempt your other suggestions.

    Thank you

  • Hi,

Sorry, I overlooked that. Getting late, friday night.

Not a DP specialist, but I hope that a fellow DP user may chime in here.

  • So both of those folders were not do found through the path you gave me. There was one that said Audio Units cache but com.apple didn't appear before it. I did trash that one, rebooted, but the plugins didn't go through the examination process on Digital Performer boot up. Not sure what to do now. Reinstall software?

  • Hi,

Unfortunately not a DP expert, but uninstalling, restarting and reinstalling is always a good idea.

  • i also did a Spotlight search for com.apple.audiounits.cache and nothing came up. I am in Mojave 10.14.6

  • Hi,

That's most probably because you don't need such a folder with DP. But as I said, unfortunately not an expert here.

    How did uninstalling/restarting/reinstalling go?

    Best,
    Paul

  • I understand it is late where you are, Paul. No worries. I will try the reinstall when I get a moment and post the result. No need to wait up Lol 😂 At least I am able to use as a standalone, which is really why I bought it, but to rest easy I also need to know it's accessible within DP.

    Thank you

So I unstalled and reinstalled synchron player and I am still not getting a plugin examination within Digital Performer. As said before, I did examine but said the elicenser had an error, and after the second try, it stalled (though i did see my vienna keys blink several times). Could it be that it IS in my DAW and I'm just not seeing it, like it's labled something other than Synchron?

  • Hello,

All is well, Synchron Player is now showing up in Digital Performer and working wonderfully. I was able to consult with a friend who is a DP power user and he guided me on how to go to DP Preferences and re-examine my plugins.

    Problem solved,

    Thanks!

  • Hi!

Great to hear that! Could you please also tell us, how you fixed this issue?
This way this information is also useful for the other users :)

    Best, Ben

  • Gladly,

    Step 1. Open DP
Step 2. Go to DP Preferences under File menu
Step 3. Click on Audio Plugins in the list
Step 4. On the right hand side top select "New" Folder and name this new plugin folder VSL.
Step 5. Make sure MAS VST and MAS VST 3 support are checked in the list below.
Step 6. Type in the name of the plugin you want to examine in the search field or scroll down to it.
Step 7. Highlight the plugin by clicking on it and then go down to the bottom of the window and hit the button "Reexamine". The plugin will now be examined as a fist time install.
Step 8. Click Done at the bottom of the page or "OK" if prompted.
Step 9. Save the session and close DP.
Step 10. Restart DP and open your project.

This did the trick for me
