    Maybe this has already been requested, but would it be possible to move the "switch instances list orientation" option to the "View" menu? I think this is the more common place to look for view options. Maybe the language could be simplified, as well, ie "Instances vertical/horizontal".

    Also, would it be possible to add checkmarks or other toggle indicators in the View menu items, so it is more obvious which items are enabled/disabled?

    I second this! I tried to intuitively find where this function was and 'View' was the first place I looked. I found it because I Cmd+F the name of the function to quickly search the manual so I could work out how to do it xD

    Since no one mentioned how this is currently done, and this thread is a top google result for those looking, it's right-click on any instance in the list and you get a context menu with the option at the bottom. It most certainly should be moved to the View menu or at least preferences.
