  • Installed BBO and Synchron Player, but Synchron Player not available in Cubase Pro 8

    Hi,

I installed BBO as well as Synchron Player, including activation via e-Licenser.
Synchron Player standalone works fine with BBO.
But it is not available in my Cubase Pro 8.0.40 64 bit on Mac OSX 10.11.6.
Tried a lot in the plugin manager (refresh plugin info, added application and application support/VSL path to VST2 path settings - nevertheless that I guess it's VST 3 anyway) without any success.

    How can I solve this?
    Thanks in advance!

  • I'm not seeing it either in cubase 10. I'm trying to find where it put the dll but I can't see what that is called. It's not in the usual places

  • I found it in the VST3 folder. It seems a reboot sorted it out. Now I just have to work out how to use it.

Guess by "it" you're talking about the dll file you were looking for, right? But dll's are for Windows only.

Nevertheless I looked for a folder "VST3" on my Mac, and I found a file "Vienna Synchron Player.vst3" in the folder
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3 - so thanks for the hint.

In this folder there are also some more plugins from Steinberg still be shown in Cubase plugin manager.
But why is Synchron Player then not shown or at least recognized new while refreshing etc?

However, I did a reboot of my Mac as well, but nothing changed at all.

  • Hi,

I'm just wondering if you ever resolved the above problem? I have EXACTLY the same problem, contacted support and maybe because i'm still using cubase 6 (i love it, far better than cubase 9) and it's now very much unsupported I get the feeling they are simply not interested in following up. Everything worked fine, I had the Epic Orchestra 2 installed but never used the other purchase VEP 6 because I didn't fully look into exactly what I was buying. When i downloaded and installed the Big Bang Free Orchestra my Synchron Player plugin vanished from my vst plugins! I've unistalled, downloaded the latest and earlier versions, removed the plists, deleted the xml blacklist files as well, although the Synchron player is showing in this. Still nothing. I've gave up on it now but really wanted to purchase the Big Bang Orchestra new options to let me get into VSL. I have a ton of plugins and libraries but very much for kontakt. Any ideas would be great. Ps - the standalone Synchron Player works fine and Epic and BBO free are showing.

  • Hi alanmcp,

Please send a few screenshots that show the location and content of your VST PLug-in folders and the assignment in Cubase, so we can check: support@vsl.co.at!

Shouldn't be impossible to get you up and running.

    Best,
    Paul
