  • Performance tool colors

    Hello,
With the repetition and alternation tool, during the "sequence", the active step is highlighted, with a little more dark blue color, but I notice that on standard (CRT) monitor, it's really difficult to see which step is highlighted.
It's seems better on a TFT monitor.
Anyone has this problem too ?
Is this possible to choose a more contrasted color in a future performance tool release ?

    Best regards,

    Stéphane Péneau

  • Hi Stéphane!

I haven´t noticed any problems on my screen so far...

Our Performance Tool is constantly improved, there may also be future changes in design.

As you receive our newsletter, you´ll be the first to know!

Anyway, does anybody else experience similar problems?

  • there have been two complaints on this - one on a XP japanese version and another with XP - we couldn't figure out the source of the problem until now, as the colors are hard-coded in the tool (letters showed up in white color, so they seemed to be *invisible*)
regarding Stéphane it sounds to me more like a misconfigured CRT (too much contrast, too much brightness, wrong colorprofile, ...?)
please try to adjust your settings, if there is no change, please mail me your system-specs, so we may get another hint

  • Hello,

Here it is what the performance tool look on my computer. I have the same problem on other screen and other computer (always with Windows XP).

The activated keyswitch is the number 3.

    Best,

  • Sorry to add to this...

I have the same issue - My screen looks the same as Stéphane's and I can't tell which is the highlighted note!

not a complaint, but instead, a bug report/friendly user feedback.

  • thanks for your input, if you don't tell us, what goes wrong, we wouldn't know [;)]
seriously - we are testing the tool with as many systems as we have available before it goes public, but some setups obviously have their *own life*
there will be an updated release of the performancetool soon (hanging notes in repetition-mode fixed) - hopefully the color-thing will disappear also

  • i got it finally,
please select properties of desktop (from the contextmenu rightclicking somewhere in an empty area of the desktop)
select the tab *Appearance* - you will see three selectboxes
the second is named *Item* - select the *Selected Items*
just righthand you will see a colored field named *Color* and recognize, it has a very similar color to the blue of the background in the legato-lines
choose another color - not white, because you will see no more numbers then - which gives you a comfortable contrast to read the numbers
commit pressing *apply* or *OK* - that's it (hopefully - it worked for me)

    Thank you Christian
