    Hi Paolo,

    Impressive! Thank you!

(I was asking for a booming demo, in another thread; you answered with a full booming orchestraโ€ฆ)

=> That's how we do it in Vienna ๐Ÿ˜Š

Looking forward to your feedback after installation!

  • Wow, thanks! I will try it immediately. :)

  • Hi Paul

does it make sense to download it if i have smart orchestra?  what's the main difference between the two?

  • Hi chopin123,

You should go for it. The difference is that this is really something else, and it's a very small download (0.5 GB) for A LOT of sound!

Also, a great addition to the Smart Orchestra (and the other way around).

    Best,
    Paul

Wow, for free! This is great. Now downloaded and all set up in the synchron player. I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with these. Will be interesting to make up some scary sounding accompaniments for the kids at school when I want to make some.

What I like already is that built in reverb, and placement etc. So easy so you don't have to worry.

Looking forward also to trying my Sychron SE in Sibelius. Haven't had the time to do this yet, but looking forward to creating some fun sounds in Sibelius when I get to it. Being able to match the Big Bang sounds with SE in Sibelius will be loads of fun.๐Ÿ˜Š

    thanks again Vienna!

  • Hallo,

Thank you for this free software !

But why is this great software actually for free ?

Because we poor users have bought the synchronized special Edition with the player.

Itยดs the same instruments and player, isnยดt it ?

Or am I wrong ? Then excuse me .

    best regards

  • Hi Paul,

I  would like to download this Big Bang Orchestra. (Who wouldn't..)

Can you let me know where I can find my e-Licenser code/number? I thought it is in MyVSL, but I can't find it there.

    Best regards

    Hi Dylan,

Seems like you didn't "order" it yet.

This is the BBO product page, put it in your basket and check out, we will send instructions on the next steps.

    Best,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

    Ah.. I get it.

I'm on OS 10.8.5 (PT 10.3.7) and because I simply love this combination, the BBO is out of my reach.

    Thank you anyway.

    Very Fun Library! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    * ROOM MIC POSISTIONS MISSING? *
Being my first VSL library I am getting used to using the player.  Going through the microphone presets it seems that I am not getting any output indicators and/or sound when I select the ROOM MIC POSISTIONS.
It seems the other mic presets are working, just wondering if there was some sort of additional step or routing I needed to check first?

Thanks for the help and you know once you get a taste of something this good, you know you are going to want more!

    Joyfully,
    Simeon

Do you mean Room Mix ?

Click once on the the Channel Label - that will turn the Channel On/Off.

The great thing about the Synchron approach is you can create seperate instruments in effect just by turning off all bchannels except the Close Mic (CL) channels eg. WW-CL (WoodWind Close) with everything else muted gives you a very focused Woodwind instrument - definitely one of the Synchron Player's strengths.

  • Again: impressive.

The worse reality shock, for a modern composer, is writing a passage in a notation program, and getting back some miserable fart from the virtual instrument. If you want the program to give you some musical meaning, you have to go to a sequencer.

This thing, on the contrary, seems alive. This is just a few bars played back by Dorico. An usual formulaic passage, not ready for production, but already living in its space and giving back some sense of the music!

  • This sounds great! There is one glaring thing missing... Big Bang implies percussion... Timpanis rolls and hits, bass drum rolls and hits, cymbal crashes and rolls? I can maybe forgive the missing timpanis, but how is there no big cymbals and bass drums?

Yes, I know they are available in your other libraries, but they should be included here.

Your gigantic 36 inch bass drum even mixed with your taiko perhaps?
