  • MIR vs Synchronized

    Hi,

I'm trying to decide which library to choose, to use a light library while composing. What I would like is a library taking very little CPU and memory, to leave my system responsive.

The possible choices are the old SE+MIR, and the Synchronized SE+its own reverb. Either of them can be a ready-made library, that I don't have to setup. Synchronized has its instruments already positioned and reverberated. The old SE would have to be setup, but once done it would work exactly as Synchronized.

Has anybody been able to compare them, and see which one is less CPU and memory intensive? On my system, Synchron Player is very demanding when reverb is on. But I'm not sure MIR is not adding as much load to the system.

SE+MIR would be my preferred choice, because of flexibility. I would be able to choose the right space for a cinematic orchestra, and for a string quartet or a brass ensemble playing Gabrieli in a church. But the lightest, the better.
