    Dietz,

    If I recall, I read somewhere that you had a hand in creating the pre-fab impulses and mixer settings for the Synchron-ized libraries.  I noticed in the SYNCHRON-ized Dimension Strings that, in the included mixer presets, the channels are sent to an aux plate reverb.  Why is that?  I was always under the impression plate reverbs tended to be artificial sounding and would interfere with the illusion of placement in a space.  Is it added to give the dry sound some thickness in order to match multi-mic'ed samples?

    Hi Sam,

    You're right that I created all the MIR-based settings for the Synchronized Vienna Instruments, but I wasn't implementing them into Synchron Player. I have to admit that I don't know about the plate reverb, but I assume that it is meant to serve some kind of "sweetening purposes" in a hybrid-reverb approach.

    Hi Sam,

    I did the presets in the Synchronized Dimension Strings. I used the plate reverb as kind of glue between the single players and to give the strings a little more warmth and sweetness.

    If you just wanna use the MIR impulses just mute the reverb channel or pull the fader down.
