One more thing... is it possible to add an icon in VE Pro to open synchron player the way I do with VI Pro?
I would like that too, as well as a keyboard shortcut.
Best,
David

Hi!
Lots of questions, I will answer them one by one!
@Roberto D:
Sample Location: You can store the data wherever you like. In Synchron Player, sample location management is done in Preferences => Database. Moving the VI sample content to a backup drive is a good idea, this way you can always move data around when needed.

Hi Paul
Do they have to be installed in the same computer as the VI version?
My SE libraries are installed in a slave that is running out of space and don't want to add an extre SSD. I wonder if I can install the syncronized version on a different computer.
Thanx!!!
Hi Paul,
the synchronised SE looks very, VERY tempting. I have a couple of questions, though.
Am I going to run into some phasing issues when playing the same note on the 1st and 2nd violins at the same time? Would a workaround from the VI SE work (pitching the 2nd violins by a whole tone and then repitching in the daw)?
Is it possible to swap the positions of the solo viola with the solo cello (a là string quartet), via presets perhaps?
Thank you.
Hi Stan,
All taken care of for you, you get second violin sections with all articulations for Chamber Strings, Orchestral Strings and Appassionata Strings, with the pitching applied and phasing-safe positioning!
You can change mixer settings as you like, by either manipulating the convolution reverb (load other convolution preset), playing a bit with the power pan, or using the non-convolution presets and adjust them accordingly.
Best,
Paul
Question, maybe it's answered already, but I might've read over it.
I currently have most of the instruments fully mapped in Vienna Ensemble (simple version that came with it, not the Pro). When I move to the new library, im happy to upgrade, but, can I port the existing settings/mappings to the new VSTi? It took me hours and would be very nice to be able to just import them from SE Ensemble VSTi
Hi SpecimanX,
The Synchron Player comes with a different approach, with a dimension tree... just working on a few walkthrough videos here. Settings and Mappings are different.
The whole SYNCHRON-ized Special Edition is now much more in-tune in many aspects, from dynamics to placement. It really is MUCH more than just the same samples in a new player... Hard to put that in words, but you will hear and feel the difference immediately.

Paul

Many thanks for your reply Paul. I guess I just have to do the work 😊 I mean... i wouldn't mind to do less. Then again, I have more instruments bought, and perhaps its just time to change. In the end, its fiddling around. I get myself prepared to. Thanks 😊 I cannot wait until I try it out!

Hi Marcus,
Try the standard procedure and update all VSL Software as well as the eLicenser Control Center, then make sure that your license is available.
Best,
Paul
Just downloaded and installed the Syconrized Special Editions and they sound wonderful. however, I'm a little perplexed- while the new VL2 and Cello 2 show up in the player, I cannot find the Steinway D anywhere in my Sycron player....odd.... Anyone else having this issue?
You need the Vienna Synchron Pianos (download it from your Download section in MyVSL for free), it's like Vienna Synchron Player but specifically for pianos, I guess. Just tested it, works fine. 😉
Hey Paul,
I'm loving the Synchronized SEs so far, everything sounds fantastic, and the Synchron Player is sweet! One thing I noticed: I use MIRx in the VI version, and there I can select multiple positions for e.g. Triple Horn within the section (Triple Horn 1, 2, 3, and 4). In the 'synced' version there is only one IR for Triple Horn...
Are there any plans to add more positions for such instruments like Horns, Trumpets, Trombones, etc. within their dedicated sections in the near future? Or maybe just additional presets?
I guess I could do it myself with power pan and EQ, but I just don't know enough about this stuff to get the right results...
Thanks!
