So after installing VEP7, I became aware of that fact that the E.T. Adventures on Earth tutorial I have been experimenting with has a red box around a few trumpet channels...so I investigated it and figured out that this tutorial is using the "Special Brass" and the Bb trumpet isntruments, which are NOT included with VSL Cube Full... drats I just missed the instrument sale last month I would probably have picked these up if I had realized. Have to wait for next time.
Anyway, in the meantime, I am wondering if I can get a reasonably close approximation of the sound by substituting TrC patches for the TrBb patches....and if I created two channels with Tr3 patches, one of them using half step sample transposition, to replace what is normally in the Tr6? It doesn't have to be perfect, just want to get reasonably complete ET rendition...
at this point I will have to wait for the next sale to pick up those two brass libraries I am missing..which are somewhat optional, but in particularly the fanfare trumpets would not be bad to have...but again.. just wondering what ya'll think are some decent work arounds until then?
There are also some articulations loaded into a few of the E.T. score, with the name CO_UB-a3... these are in the trumpet ensemble channels of the project, but I can't determine what VSL instrument is missing for those. Anyone know?
