    I would like to say how impressed I am with the Vienna Library, the website and the forum. I just ordered the complete package the other day. The decision to buy was made, to a great extent, based upon the words expressed in this forum. Just so you know - as I am sure I am not alone in this regard - that the care, which has been taken on the part of those who use this forum; those who present and develop the library, and the synchronicity of the aforementioned, is invaluable to those among us who are stretching our finances to the limit in order to, not only work with such an obviously unbelievable library as this, but, as well, who may benefit from the vast knowledge base that is provided on the part of the company and those who invest time in to this forum and library, simply because they love music. This said, my hat is off to all involved.

    After all this...

    I have been listening very closely to the user demos and have been blown away. I am wondering if there is a web page - perhaps that I have missed - that lists the specs for the computer, and the amount of computers used to program such works as those in the user demo section. I am currently running a P4 (1.4) 512 ram and would like to get a sense of how far I can get before I begin adding additional computers. In addition, is any one running, in part or full, the Vienna Library from a Firewire drive?

    Yes, in order to be able to use them on my different GS machines, I do have all performance set patches on a maxtor 80 GB External Firewire. It does work fine for me.

    I also use a 200GB Firewire-drive (3 partitions 80/90/10, the silent LaCie Drive, which make NO sound (because no fan) and looks quite nice) for the whole library and although i didn´t load my whole rack ´till now i have no problems using it. (untill now i loaded 2 Ports with 12 slots each (=24 slots all together) and it works fine...
