  • VEpro Randomly Splitting channels

Vepro 6 , Kontakt 6.0.4, Cubase Pro 10 (latest version)

Everything works just flawlessy, except that Vepro randomly, inside an instance, decides to start to split 1 Kontakt stereo output into 2 Vepro stereo outputs messing everything up.

The result is that 1 kontakt instrument becomes 2 vepro assigned channels, and consequently 2 cubase channels.

I have tried with 120 oputputs, 30 ,40 20, changing midi driver, audio interface, adding more channels, but the problem is still there. I tried EVERYTHING.

I'm forced to cut instances at 14, 13, 11 or when Vepro starts splitting channels.

I mean, everything in KontakT JUST LOOKS FINE every midi channel and stereo output responds correctly to midi and Cubase. You can see that every stereo channel in Kontakt is working correctly and the outpul signal is there. Just that in Vepro becomes 2 channels.

It just looks like a very nasty bug that affects me.

Any idea to help me please ?

  • Hi, I have the EXACT SAME problem with VePRO 7!
    HELP!!!!

  • It's been almost a year, have you guys found solution/workaround? I've been building templates for the past month and this problem is devastating. I'm new to VEP but this is the only problem I haven't been able to overcome.

  • There is a problem with an extensive output configuration in Kontakt past a certain number if there's a mix of mono and stereo outs (as per VE Pro. It's not the same problem in say Cubase). Organize your template accordingly. VSL may not be able to address this alone, in which case NI needs to hear enough about it to incentivize working with them.
