  • where does the Download Manager 'park' the files

    Hi

where does the Download Manager 'park' the files before installing them (on a Mac)

I hit the wrong button after installation and I would like to erase them to gain space on the drive.

    thanks for help

    Walter

  • Hi Walter,

You decide which download location to choose.
In your case, you could search for "Epic" and see where you will find the corresponding *.x and *.y files.

  • Hi Paul

    thanks for your help.

Installation done on a SSD, so far so good.

After Installation the manager gives the choice of keepin or deleting the downloaded archive, right?

I hit the KEEP button too fast ;-)  so I would like to get rid of these files

    thanks

    Walter

    Hi Walter,

    I understood that 😊

Please search for the word "EPIC" and you should find those downloaded installation files on your computer.

Those are *.x and *.y files, along with a "package.info" file.

You can safely delete those after installation.

    Paul

  • Hi Paul

found them …… sorry for my clumsiness.

while I have you around: I found some older Epic-Orch......... .dat files. belong these files to the first Epic-Orchestra that came with VEPro V5?

Are these needed by the VE-Instrument?

    thanks

    Walter

  • Hi Walter,

No problem, glad you found the files.

Yes, dat files are for your "classic" Epic Orchestra, these *.dat files will be available with the Vienna Instruments Sample player if you assign them in your Directory Manager.

    Best,
    Paul
