  • I am having the same problem, but renaming those files did not work. I am running Mojave, 10.14.5. I have installed the Synchron Special Editions 1 library, the synchron plugin and the synchron piano plugin.

When I opened Logic, it found the plugins right away. In Finale, I tried the rescan plugins but that did nothing.

  • Hello Thorny!

Can you send screenshots of the username\Library\Preferences folder after removing the Finale preference files and your available AU-Instruments list in Finale to support@vsl.co.at?

By the way: I recommend using Vienna Ensemble inside Finale. Did you install it yet?

  • Thanks for the quick reply, Andi. Did you mean that you want to see the preferences fold immediately after the edit, or after I had run Finale again? I have not tried Vienna Ensemble yet. I thought I was supposed to use Synchron instead of that. In the thread Synchronized Special Editions you say that “SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions can only be opened in Synchron Player. The Concert D light can only be opened in Synchron Pianos.“ was I missing something there? I am a complete newbie wih the VSL ecosystem, so Ism very likely missing some basic idea here.

  • Hello Thorny!

Vienna Ensemble is our instrument host. You can load Synchron Player and Synchron Pianos inside Vienna Ensemble on different channels.

I would be interested to see a screenshot of your username\Library\Preferences folder after removing the Finale preference files and before opening Finale. Anyway, it seems from your description that you have not removed the files, but you have renamed them. I"m not sure if that is enough. Please remove them from the folder.

  • I thought I had tried to reboot after I moved the files, but I wasn't sure so I did it again. nothing seemed to have changed. I haven't tried to install the other plugin yet but I will. Sending screen shots now.

  • I installed Ensemble 6. I thought that could operate at a standalone or as a plugin, but I am not seeing it as a plugin in either Finale or Logic. I am seeing it as a standalone application.

  • I am now seeing Ensemble 6 inside both Logic and Finale. When I restarted my machine and restarted Logic it started working. Sorry for taking up space! I will go away and figure out how to use Ensemble now.

  • Hello Thorny!

Thanks for the update. I'm glad that it's working now.
