Bless you Paul, thanks.
I need to go pro, I know that - I'll check out the demo. Slave PCs aren't too far over the horizon (I hope) so I need to figure this out anyway.
All best
Mike

I'm sorry - I can't figure this out, and the manual isn't much help.
I've set up a VE pro server on my DAW, and communication between cubase and the VE server is fine.
I've created several MIDI tracks in cubase to control each instrument. Each MIDI track is communicating fine with the VE server.
I've selected 'auto raise instance' but when I selected 'edit vst instrument' from my midi tracks, nothing happens.
Have I done something wrong?
I'd really appreciate some help - I've been trying to figure this out for hours now, and am getting a little frustrated.
Thanks
Mike
And my favourite reverb (IRCAM Flux Verb) isn't showing up in VEPro 6???!!!
Seriously, if someone could help me out I'd be really grateful. I'm ready to junk VE pro completely - it's been nothing but hassle this afternoon, and I really can't see any advantage to using it right now.
Does anyone have any experience of using the Flux Verb with VEPro6? Any idea why it's not being scanned? I've checked the directory - I'm running 64 bit, and the directory is right (it's found everything else, after all).
I'd be really grateful for input - I'm at the 'throw my machine out of the window' stage at the moment.
Thanks
Mike
OK, I'm giving up for the night, but the manual is shockingly bad. I'm really sorry to have to say so - I generally don't like being critical on forums etc.
For example, I want to insert a reverb as a send FX in VE pro (ignore the fact that VE pro won't find my preferred reverb for now, I can deal with that another time and have a few to choose from).
Can someone tell me, in plain English, how a reverb as a send FX in VE pro should be set up?
At the moment, I've created a bus, with one of my reverbs on as an insert effect, and am sending to it, and routing everything via the master bus/outputs 1&2. If that is the correct procedure, then it was no thanks to the manual.
Thanks! I'll try that today - much appreciated.
The Verb 3 is an amazing reverb, but the folks over at FLUX aren't always the best at implementation/responding to customers/much else. I put up with it because the FLUX stuff sounds amazing. However, the quality of my Fabfilter reverb (I tried it just to try to get the VE pro set up properly), which I generally don't use on orchestral stuff has surprised me.
Cheers
Mike
Update: This didn't work.
Just for clarity, VE pro sees all my other VST plugins without issue. My VST directory is being scanned successfully, and I've done a 're-scan all' and a several restarts (turn it off and back on again).
But all the Flux plugins (SPAT, Verb etc etc) are not being scanned.
Any ideas? I'll can change over my routing in VEpro, activating the many audio outputs in Cubase, but I really liked the idea of working within the VEpro instance - it makes the routing in Cubase less cumbersome.
Thanks
Mike
