I'm currently using Vienna Ensemble 6 (not pro!) on a single PC. I'm also only using Special Edition for now. Poor me etc...
I have previously used individual instances of Vienna Instruments on a 'per track basis'. So I'd have a clarinet on a track in Cubase. It gets pretty CPU intensive hosting all those instances if you're using many tracks, and I'm exploring VE - I've used it in Sibelius for many years, so I understand some of the fundmentals.
However, one of the advantages of my 'per track' approach is that, when I clicked on the 'edit instrument' button in Cubase, so I could see what what was playing, and which controllers I was manipulating etc etc, Cubase opened the Vienna instruments panel. One click - easy. Now, when I click the 'edit instrument' button on the midi track I've assigned to 'Instrument 1' in Cubase it opens up the server window (I don't know what it's called properly, sorry but I've attached a photo).
Is there any way I can regain my preferred behaviour while still using VE? Having to click the VE window and mouse to get the track I need is going to get old, really quickly.
Many thanks, and sorry this is a basic question.
