  • Steinway D as it was.

    Hi all.

I love the Synchron Steinway D, but I felt the playing experience was very realistic as it was before the update. There was a liveliness about it that I've only experienced on the real thing. I also felt that the mapping of the velocities was spot on. I didn't get harshness unless I went looking for it. The balance between key velocity and timbre felt like I was playing a real Hamburg D. Somehow the lower velocities seem to off now.

Is there anything I can do to bring back the wilder side of the piano? I increased the MIDI sensitivity, but it doesn't feel the same.

I could alway remove the update I suppose, but I'd rather try and modify the piano newer version.

  • Hi John,

The only way to get back the original version of the Steinway D is to erase that Library Udpate file. Those changes were on a deeper level than accessible from the Synchron Pianos GUI.

    Best,
