VSL - prepare for something BIIIIIG!

  • Whoa spank my botty!

LSO samples and a user friendly sampler interface - It's one of those really nice dreams you just don't wanna wake up from right?

As long as Herb gives me my Euphonium I'll stick with reality and the Viennese gang.

  • It won´t be available for sale anyway, as Zimmer states in this interview.

  • The future is in front of you ! [:D]

  • Oh ! and Zimmer has the VSL library too ...

  • if my German is not failing me, he doesn't really say what these marvelous technological developments will be. Just that it'll be grossartig or something.

Besides, Hans Zimmer only writes in whole notes anyway!!

  • VSL is an incredible library so its not a negative reflection on Herb and team. We're always going to be looking for more samples - most working composers who use them collect them like comic books and end up creating their own for their own purposes - Bill Brown for instance.

  • As I posted on NS, he says absolutely nothing other than that he's sampling an orchestra and Wizoo is programming it.

It could be interesting if he said anything about what he's doing, but otherwise I don't understand why anyone is talking about it.

  • I think the only revolution possible (especially with the great recorded VSL samples) will be playing samples WITHOUT programming - directly from within the fully notated score!

There's an English button at the top right of the page...

  • Hi all,
In april the interview was also printed in the german "Keyboards" magazine, from which I first thought could be an april-joke... As he stated there, this whole project is to create a library which will primarly be for his own use (and his guys - like Klaus Badelt) - and yep - wizoo is responsible for the front-end (he also says, that maybe in the future there could be a much more smaller "public" version for sale...)
