Hello,
I own Vienna Special Edition Vol. 1, Vol. 1 Plus, Vienna Instruments, Vienna Instruments Pro and Vienna Ensemble 6 on a iMac with 16 GB of RAM wih OS High Sierra. I also own a MacBook Pro that I use for remote work that will be soon be outfitted with additional 8 GB of RAM to make it 16 GB total. Both computers use their own Glyph hard drive for sample storage. Both machines currently run Digital Performer 9.52 and ProTools 12.5.
I wish to consider the possibiltity of getting a demo license for Vienna Ensemble Pro 6 to take advantage of several aspects in my workflow. I know that with Pro 6 you can link master to slave computers with a Ethernet cable and a Gigabit connection. My main resons for consideration of getting this demo software is that it will allow me to host and load AU and VST plug-ins, close projects and keep my samples loaded while opening and closing projects.
As I have viewed the Pro 6 videos and read the accompanying text, I am still unsure what I exactly need to buy to start with, even though I just wish to use Pro 6 in demo mode for 30 days to start with.
Am I correct that I may need the following: an Ethernet cable (what type, though?), a Gigabit connection/device, another eLicenser, and the demo software? What am I missing or not getting? Am I on the right track in my thinking?
Please advise!
