Sibelius - Dimension string articulations not changing

Hi,

I have just set up a new system with VSL and Sibelius - so all latest versions. It almost works fine, except I can't get the articulations working for any of the Dimension string libraries. They are for any other libraries, such as Harps and Solo Violin. Beyond the basic help for assuring the correct dimension instrument is loaded or chosen in the various locations, is there anything else I could be missing, or should look at to get them working?

The instrument will play with whatever is the last patch I chose in the Instruments Pro Matrix. Trills do work, so it just seems to not be passing through the articulations that switch to the correct patch.

I am using Vienna Ensemble Pro and Vienna Instruments Pro

Hello Richard!

Such a problem can have different reasons like using the wrong Sibelius instrument, using the wrong sound set or program on the Manual Sound Sets page, loading the wrong VI preset, etc... All possible reasons that come to my mind are listed in the Troubleshooting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.

 Thanks. I have been through all of these numerous times and tried a number of different combinations to assure I have the correct ones loaded. I believe I am using the correct settings and instruments as outlined in the document you suggest.

I also checked Vienna Ensemble.xmlto make sure it is saving the configuration correctly in Sibelius (extract below)

Short of uninstalling and starting again from scratch, is there any other thoughts on why they are not working?
