There are already quite a bunch of Filetypes allowed, and as far as I know, the Preset Filetypes are introduced by your own developpers, I can not imagine, that they might be webspace or Server power consuming, malicious or dangerous in any other way.
Of course I can upload in zip format, it is just a suggestion to make things for your own user-community a bit more comfortable, since I can't see any serious reasons which would keep you from allowinmg them.
