  • Why do I have to reboot my slave so much?

I'm running a 32Gb 2015 imac as host, using cubase 9.5.   Slave is an i7 3930 with 64Gb RAM and a 550 mbps read SSD.

To all intents VE Pro 5 works well with two instances running and arpound 32 instances on Kpntakt in total with Spitfire audio VSTi's.    However it seems I have to reboot my slave machine if I close projects in Cubase and want to open another project.   Also, 'connecting' a ve pro session within cubase almost always hangs cubase with the spinning wheel...forcing a reboot again of cubase and also my slave machine.

I realise VE Pro 5 is now an older version, however I'm loathed to update to v6 if it will not solve these stability issues.

Any comments on why so many reboots required?

    Thanks in anticipation.
