  • Synchron Percussion, more content and articulations?

Hi! I teach and make arrangements for percussion ensemble, not a composer. I’m looking for a percussion sample library to fit my needs, which comes down to having a lot of articulations on the various instruments, especially the drums. When comparing VI series with Synchron seriers I notice there are more articulations and more snares in the Vi series. Will the Synchron Series be updated with more snares and articulations and will there be any double strokes sampled?

  • Hello Drummer!

    Thanks for your interest.
There's another Synchron Percussion product planned that will include more percussion instruments (including additional snares). There are no plans for recording additional articulations for the instruments included in Synchron Percussion I. In general I don't share your opinion that the Percussion Instrument collection includes more articulations than Synchron Percussion I. We didn't sample double strokes. They would have a particular timing. Using two single strokes instead shouldn't sound that much different.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hi Andi and thank you for answering. I can programme two singkle strokes to simulate a double stroke but to me as a percussionist the authentic double stroke is a bit more smooth, round and legato in carachter. I can see the hastle with sampling it but have seen a nother company that does so. I just compared the snares from VI series, might be that the other instruments have similar amount of articulations to that of the Synchron series. A trial version would be much appreciated.

  • Hi Drummer!

The Synchron Percussion Snare includes a few articulations more than the Percussion Instrument Collection Snare.

I'm sorry to say that we can't offer demo versions of our libraries.

    Best,
    Andi
