  • [SOLVED] Synchron Player Installation Problem in OSX

    Greetings!

Forgive the noob question, but I have looked through the forums and haven't found anyone who is as confused as I am :-/.

I've just purchased the VSL Synchron FX Strings I, and I've run 3 different installers (in various orders) -- "Vienna Download Manager" installer, then running the manager itself and adding the "Synchron FX Strings 1" download to it.   The "Vienna Intruments & Ensemble Software" installer, and the "Vienna Synchron Player" installer.  All are the latest versions currently available on the vsl website.    Having done all that, I still find no new AU Instruments in Logic Pro X (I'm expecting to find something like a "Vienna Synchron Player", is that wrong?

After running all the installers, I end up with the following directories:

    B03_SY-FX-Strings_I_Stereo_SPv4

    Synchron FX Strings I

Do these directories need to be stored in any particular relationship to each other?

  • Ah!

In my case, the problem was resolved by rebooting.

After the reboot, launching Logic Pro X kicked off a VST plugin scan that didn't happen before.   It also appears to me that I didn't need to have run the "Vienna Intruments & Ensemble Software", and in fact the VST plugin for the Ensemble crash during validation, so I turned it off.
