Too much cpu with syncron
Hi Just installed the smart orchestra and noticed that I have to increase buffer to 256 samples in my rme802 interface. Otherwise I had cracks and clicks. Also cpu jumped to 45%. And this is only for one instance loaded. In my old template with vipro player I still work with 64-128 samples with no issues and cpu at 30% (i7 8700k, win10) with more than 50 tracks. Do I do something wrong or syncron player need a lot of cpu power?

Hi martin27,
That's also the difference between playing back one stereo sample and multuple stereo samples at once.
FX and Velocity XFade will also ad more strain to the CPU.
What are the specs of your computer, and are you streaming from an SSD drive? How is it connected?
Best.

Hi martin27.,
Sounds like a good setup, that should work just fine.
Can you please copy the sample content over to your m2 drive, just to check?
After you have done that, erase the old entry in Preferences => Database in Synchron Player and add the new location (with the +/- signs in the lower left corner).
Does that make a difference?
Best,
Paul

Hi Paul Yes, there is difference. Now I can work with 128 samples buffer without glitches but cpu still high. As I mentioned in first post, in my studio template I work with 50+ tracks of vipro with 64 samples buffer and cpu at 35%. So again this seems very high on demand. I was ready to upgrade my chamber strings to synchron but now I'm thinking a bit if this is wise decision. I just spent 2400 euros for my new pc and cant believe it's not enough.
