After posting Air auf der G-seite a few weeks ago, I went on learning how to use Synchron Strings, now also with Synchon-ized Chamber Strings and a little Chamber Strings. I hope you enjoy.

  • A very fine performance indeed of a most delicate piece of music. The fact that everybody has an opinion on this one doesn't make it any easier.

As a baroque fanatic, I have a clear view, but that doesn't matter here. Your interpretation is what we here and it sounds extremely well, although I'm not wild about the fat reverb. I guess such a subtle piece of music deserves a closer listen to here every single detail.

In the second version, the overlapping instruments are too obvious and sometimes you here them 'coming in' (e.g. around 30"). Pure sonically I would prefer the first version.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Jos

Very good rendition. I like it! 👍

I'm not asking for it, but I'm interested in a short A/B comparison between the original Chamber Strings and the synchron-ized one. Especially, in terms of the legatos and how they sound dry. Maybe there is someone who has the time and can post a short example?

  • Thank you, Jos, for listening to the piece and for your comment on it.
Concerning the overlapping of the instruments, thank you for mentioning it.
I'm searching for a way to use the vibrato of the chamber strings in the Synchron Strings (to expend the vibrato possibilities).
Working on the piece I notice that I get used to a certain sound, and it is good, that fresh ears listen to it to help further. So thanks for your help.

    Sounds very good.

I would have liked to hear this piece using only Synchron Strings I, No help from other Strings Libraries. This will highlight  some of the weaknesses of Synchron Strings I.
