Hi,
I have only recently started to enter the Midi-data via a midi-device instead of using the mouse and keyboard.
Since MIR has such high latency, I always bypass MIR and set the audio-interface buffer to a low value for live-input. When everything is ready, I set the buffer to a high value and disable the MIR bypass, and then I am tweaking the MIR settings. (btw: I have a template for the most common instruments I use + MIR positioning)
The disadvantage of this method is that the instruments are not panned during input.
Now I'm curious: Is there a better way to work with MIR and live-input? How is your workflow?
I would really appreciate it if you would share your experiences with me :)
Thanks!
Ben
