  • Loading Synchron Strings in VI/VI Pro after updating library

    Hello,

I've updated the Synchron Strings library files to make them compatible with the new Synchron Player.  I've plenty of older sessions with complicated setups which use Synchron Strings patches into VI Pro; I need to open them again, but all Synchron Strings' patches seem to be offline.  I can't see Synchron Strings listed in VI Pro, actually; but their respective folders are listed in the Directory Manager.

Are Synchron Strings backward compatible with VI Pro?

    Thank you.
    Kind regards,
    Marco

No they are not. The Synchron Player uses a different file format. To load your VI projects you need the orginal sample structure of the VI version (in case you erased it, you can still download it in the legacy section of MyVSL).

  • It's such a pity not being able to use a single set of library files for both samplers.  Thank you for providing me this information, anyway!  I've found the legacy content in the VSL downloads archive as you suggested me.
