  • Question for Paul: 2nd Violins in SYNCHRONIZED Chamber strings

    Hi Paul,

I suppose the samples of the 2nd Violins in the SYNCHRON-ized Chamber Strings were reworked to be treated as real 2nd Violins (e.g. playing in unison with 1st Violins without artifacts). May you please confirm it?

    thank you in advance, Cheers

    Hello Fatis,

is it possible to use the SY-Chambers in other Roompacks or not?

    Greetings,

    Lars

Yes it is. I wrote a larger review (you may find it few posts ago 😊. a little nice botton turn IR on/off, so with IR turned off you may use the SY-Chambers the usual way in MIR or other convolution systems.

  • Hi Fabio,

=> Yes, that's the idea, and also to have a smaller 2nd violin section for the 2nd violins of our Synchron Strings I available.

    Best,
    Paul

That's very good to know, Fatis!

And Paul, Fatis' question is a good one, ... Because for a "cross-use" of Chamber Original + SY Chambers it might be helpful to know, if you used only the "Original Samples" or if you have already made use of the transopsition-trick.

    Thanks.

    Thank you very much Paul.

Yes I confirm I used them as divisi, and the result is nice and believable.

  • When you go into divisi, do you use the Strings 1 for one part, and chamber for the other? Or do you go with two voices of chamber?

Of course it depends on the sound you want, but actually Chamber are 6 players and Synchron are 14 or 10. Then if you want a Synchron section in divisi, 2 instances of Chamber will be perfect: 6+6 = 12 players, that sounds very close to a real half section.
