Harmonics with diamond notehead in Sibelius

Hi everybody,

in Sibelius I'm trying to use harmonics by adding a diamond notehead a perfect fourth above the main note. The sound switches to harmonics correctly, but both notes (the fingered and the diamond notehead) are being played back. Does anybody have a solution for this?

I'm using the current Sibelius version and the VSL Special Edition with house style loaded and also I'm using the presets for Sibelius in Vienna Instruments. All the other switches work as expected.

Away from Sib at the moment but I think there may be a plugin to create string harmonics.

Hello Stefan!

This should work without having to use an additional plugin. At least it works fine here. It's hard to say what's going wrong on your machine though. I would check the Troubleshoting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual. Maybe there's a mistake somewhere in your setup that leads to that problem.

If you need more help, I would need more details about your system (OS, Sibelius version), your Sibelius playback configuration (screenshots) and which instruments you have added exactly from the Sibelius "Add or Remove Instruments" menu.
