assigning controller numbers

When using Cymbals in a VI Pro, how do I assign a CC controller number to the release slider on the advanced perform tab. If you right click on it it flashes which I think means you can assign a controller from a midi keyboard. But how do I assign a controller when just using Sibelius which you can of course do for any slider function on the basic page.

Hilight Master Release

Under Source (to the right) click the None button dropdown and choose the CC you want
