Looking forward to playing with this - wondering if the user can control the velocity curve?

Just a question which came up regarding the name of the Playersoftware "synchron pianos".
Are there plans to
- prepare the existing Keyboards for Use in this Player (It would be great to have a more organlike playerengine for the Konzerthaus organ / and the Harmonium)
- add any other "synchronstage" Grandpianos (even if you are from vienna no one can ignore Steinway when it comes to classical grandpianos)
- sampling your Midi-Bösendorfer once again with the Synchron-Setup (presumably in you eyes the most realistic project).
Or does piano"s", in reality just mean "piano" 😛

Hello everybody,
Great to see you excited!
@mobileavatar: Currently, we are working on the Room-Mix vs Surround Downmix demos for you! They will be available as a download on the PRESETS page of Synchron Pianos (will keep you up to date).
@Philip Johnston: There are quite a few ways to adjust the way Synchron Pianos react to your MIDI Input (very similar to the Vienna Imperial): Dynamic Range and MIDI Sensitivity will be the most important tools here, but you can also fine-tune each key with EQ, dynamic range values and volume.
@Pbest: 1) Yes, there will be a walkthrough video, as soon as possible. Fixing a few bugs right now, which will boost performance.
2) All demos were played by Guy Bacos - as those last-minute changes provided quite some improvements (especially in release sample and pedal handling), new versions of these demos will be available soon.@fahl5: We have many plans 😊
1) We learned our lesson and will not announce products before they are ready.
2) That would indeed be an obvious option!
3) Also a good idea!More demos are on the way!
Best,
Paul

Thank you so much, Paul!
I think I have one less excuse not getting the full library now. 😄

I downloaded the library, installed, activated, directory managed.... something's missing. Where is the Synchron Pianos Player? Can't find it anywhere. A search for it only reveals the library installer and the uninstaller for Synchron Pianos but no player.... ???
Thanks,
Kenneth.

I'm having the same trouble. It does not show up in the VSL instrument plug-in folder in Logic Pro X.
Did I goof up by allowing Vienna Download Manager install the library? It seemed perfectly happy to do it. But, now I see a Synchron Library Installer in the Vienna Synchron Pianos folder. Do I need to use that?
Unfortunately, I already discarded all my package files and need to download them again.
If the Synchron Library Installer must be used, a warning should pop up in the Vienna Download Manager so that people don't use that to install the library.

Hi,
the new Download Manager installs the sample content of Synchron Pianos just fine. The installed (= extracted) files are called *.vsynvolumes.
The software Synchron Pianos, available in the Software Section at MyVSL, do not have a standalone version but are installed as plug-ins (AU. VST, AAX) and should show up within your DAW right after installation.
The included Library Installer is only installed in case you want to install your sample content manually.
Any specific questions: support@vsl.co.at!
Best,
Paul

What is the routing capabilities of the library? I see the mixer routing to "stereo" but can you route to more channels (5.0 bus, etc) out so stereo decca can go out L/R and center decca can go out a C channel, etc? Especially important for the surround mics, etc. Can't seem to see a demo/explanation of this. And can't find a manual for the CFX engine yet.

So, will there be a standalone player for this piano? I was under the impression there was one. I actually have no use for plug-in only versions. Will there be no way to host Synchron Pianos in VE Pro?
Thanks,
Kenneth.

Thanks,

It runs in VE pro like any plugin or VIpro instrument.

Hi,
Regarding Routing (@ribeye): As soon as you insert Synchron Pianos as a Surround plug-in, the surround presets will be displayed, with flexible routing!
If anyone likes to get the Synchron Piano Manual, please contact support@vsl.co.at, we'll send it to you!
Best,
Paul

Hi Gabriel,
Always depends on the piano player. Guy Bacos can definitely pull that off.
Maybe we will get a video from him. And I will also start with a simple walkthrough video soon.
Best,
PaulThank you Paul! As always i know that good instruments don't make the Player better 😉

A question about tuning : in fact, I can’t play the Imperial because of the E6, Eb6 and F6 keys (a bit low for me).
A good way to avoid that kind of problem would be to let us tune each keys independently (and build all scales presets we want...), but maybe the player engine can’t do that.
Is it already possible ? Or is it planed ?
Or is it just impossible due to the player engine structure ?Regards

Two things:
- Please update the purchase, license, download & install software. I'm aware this ain't easy for the distribution of such large libraries, might need some distributed network nodes.
- Please upload pop, rock and alternative styled demos as well. I'm not really the jazz or classical guy. Tastes vary.
Thanks, best regards,
Marky
