  • FORTI SERTI Impulses and Vienna Suite

There is a lot of information on the internet about 'FORTI and SERTI' impulse sets from Numerical Sound designed to work with the Vienna Suite reverbs. Generally, opinions seem to be positive.

However, they are quite old now, here we are in 2018 and how/where do we get hold of these??

Numerical Sound's website directs us back to VSL's, but I cannot then see any way of purchasing / trying / downloading these IR packs and the 'tilt filters' to use with the Vienna Suite reverbs.

Am I missing something (apologies if it is obvious)? Or are these not available anymore? Perhaps no desire to sell them and/or the product having been replaced or become obsolete?

Any info on this would be much appreciated. It would be a shame if newer users can't get hold of these anymore given a number of interesting articles available on making use of them, audio demos, and positive opinions out there.

  • Hi,

I was in the same situation. VSL stopped selling them due to little demand, despite the good reviews in several forums. I contacted Ernest Cholakis directly via the mail address shown on the Numerical Sounds website. You can still purchase them from him.

If you have any further questions he will answer them.

And, by the way, you don't (!) need Vienna Suite for them. You can use any plugin of your DAW, but Ernest recommends Reverberate. In an email I got from him he also wrote he wanted to re-publish FORTI and some other libraries for Reverberate. Don't know how the status is ...

  • Hi - thank you for the info.

I thought it might be something like that. I will probably do what you did then and contact Ernest directly.
