  • vienna instrument and pan in cubase

Hello guys. Sometimes I need to define the panning of a virtual instrument assigned to a specific track before exporting it with the downmix, so normally I trigger the pan directly on the track and not in the virtual library player (i.e. Vienna instrument, Play of Hollywood, kontakt etc.) However, I noticed that the pan fader of the cubase track has no effect on Vienna Instrument. Why? Thanks.

  • Hello brucon75,

Vienna Instruments behave just like other plug-ins... which Pan Fader are you using?

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul. Thanks for your reply. try to explain myself better. I refer to the track inspector of cubase that you can open tapping the symbol on the far left of the screen and that allows for advanced track control such as mute, solo, midi in, midi out and, as well, volumn and pan faders, precisely. Now, with volumn fader of track inspector I can hear increasing or decreasing the amount of sound of vienna instrument, while pan has no effect in the sense that I can not hear the sound of the vienna instrument moving toward left or right in the space. Of course, I can anyway still set the pan directly in the vienna instruments, I know that, but I can not do the same in the track inspector of cubase apart the volumn. This Is the question...At least I Hope I was clear... Thanks a lot. Ciao.
