Dear everyone,
in an opera mix I have a singer that should move on the stage. This singer shows up as an instrument in the MIR list with a specific starting position on stage. Is it possible to automate the position somehow?

Welcome MarcoF,
in short: No, that's not possible, sorry to say so.
Slightly longer explanation: When you put an Icon across the stage of a MIR Venue, dozens of impulse responses get loaded and pre-rendered in the background - according to the chosen instrument profile, the Icon's position, direction, stereo width as well as the format of Main and Secondary Microphone and Room EQ settings. Each time these settings are updated (which happens in the moment you release the mouse-button after grabbing one of the Icon' handles), there will be small, but noticeable interruptions in MIR's audio stream.
Due to the fact that orchestral instruments hardly ever have to move while playing, we decided not to go through the necessary hassle for seamless interpolation, back in the days when the whole concept of MIR took form. From today's point-of-view – especially considering how powerful computers are nowadays – it could make sense to introduce this feature, though. And as a matter of fact it is high on our own wish-list, too. :-)
For now you could use the following workaround: Create two or three (or even more) busses in your DAW and open an individual instance of MIR in each. Their Icons should mark the “path” your singer is supposed to walk along. Now feed all busses with the singer's voice and cross-fade between them.
