Is VEP compatible with FL Studio?
-
Confirming this sadly behaviour using normal Vienna Ensemble (Win 10 Pro, FL Studio 32/64). Tested both latest availible versions (5.x and 6.x). When I purchased Vienna Special Edition in 2011 I've used FL Studio 9.9 (32 bit) and Vienne Ensemble worked well (v4.1 I believe).
I'm really happy that I'm still able to use VSL within FL Studio using many Vienna Instruments instances. But I really love the concept of using Ensemble software especially in FL Studio. It makes entire workflow so clean.
Unfortunately Vienna Ensemble is the first VST I can't get running in current version of FL Studio. Trusting experienced VSL-Team I hope this problem will be fixed in near future.

Thanks Paul. Didn't contact FL Studio support yet, because I somehow feel that it will become a "ping pong" support case. They will redirect me to you, you will redirect me to them :-)
I could find a solution which works for both versions of Vienna Ensemble. In the dropdown menu of Vienna Ensemble instance you've to set "buffers" to none (by default it's set to "2 buffers"). If you forget to set this setting before switching into "VST wrapper settings" FL Studio will crash.
I wonder that this happens only to normal Vienna Ensemble. No such behaviour in Vienna Ensemble Pro.
Anyway, it works.

Hi LOVA,
Which version of FL Studio One are you using? I cannot reproduce this crash - works fine with 2 Buffers here...
Best, Marnix
Hi Marnix,
I'm using the latest avialible version of FL Studio.
I believe you misread the topic subject. 😃
The problem occours in "Image-Line FL Studio", not in "Presonus Studio One". But good to know, that Studio One works well. For all other FL users:
In order to use VSL Hybrid Reverb you've to activate "Use fixed size buffers" in the "Processing" tab (see screenshot)

Of cource it depands of the project file but i coulndt figure out to have a nice setup. Its feeling like it consuming more cpu than standalone with out the setup i used before. I have a 6core 3,4ghz win10 pc with 24gb ram and a msi laptop quadcore 2,8 ghz and 16gb ram. and the project doesnt fit like it should. maybe i should start a new topic about it

Just want to chime in and say the 2 bufffer thing is accureate. I tried to switch to MIDI settings and it crashed, but when switching to none, it works fine. And as VEP handles PLAY a lot better than FL seems to, this is great.
