  • Possible Future update to 16 channels Surround Sound Configuration in VE Pro?

    Hello VSL Team,

Any chance that increasing the channels for VE Pro from the current 8 to 16 or so in the near/future?

I would love to host plugins that have more than 8 channels inside VE Pro.

    Thanks!

  • You're mixing up channels with ports...

By default, VEP is set to 8 MIDI ports, each with 16 channels. The number of ports can be set as high as 48 in the preferences screen.

  • It's amazing how after a full day of working and just before you go to sleep you try to post a request/issue forum post lol.  I cmopletely left out important information in this post.

First off thanks for the reply, but I wasn't confusing those as I know what they are.  I confused you, because I didn't post it right lol.

What I am looking for, is that VE Pro Instances only supports 8 channels of Surround Sound Configuration.  I am looing to see if there wil be more support for 16 or more channels, so that I can use plugins that support more than 8 channels of surround sound inputs and outputs.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion :).

  • Hi Cgernaey,

Thanks for your input! Multi-channel formats with more than 8 audio channels are on our to-do-list (... pretty high on my personal one, I might add, as we need them urgently for immersive / 3D audio reproduction anyway).

    Kind regards,

  • Thank you Dietz!  This will be game changing for me!  I am completely moved to VE Pro only templates and love it.  This is really the only missing feature I personally need at the moment.

Thanks again and look forward to this in the future!
