Hi Sam,
I'm afraid this is not planned in the near future. Check out our current special offer, you can save 25%, also on future purchases! And maybe it's a possibility for you to start with "only" the Standard Library.
Best,
Paul
Hi Paul,
I totally understand the need of maximizing the profit to pay back the development investment, but please re-think about this choice, under the perspective of selling quite a bit of the single instruments to people like Sam or me, just looking for 2 or 3 "frequently-asked" instruments, and never affording the cost of 2 or 3 full lybraries to get them.
I can add something less professional... Please please please... 😊
Best Regards
Fabio
I looked at the products and the promotion. I am failing to see how the current sale would help one save money on the Historic Winds. I also see that all Historic Winds packages only have a standard package. There is no extended set.
Might I also suggest selling the instruments seprately?
Well... of course if the package is "Flute, Oboe, Horn and Trumpet" I can buy the whole library... but I would really like the Zink as well... gosh yes we (desperately) need single instrument sales.
Please please please... 😳

Please please please...OK in this case you are a candidate for all 3 Packages 😊 Do not ignore the oboe da gaccia. It has a wonderful dark sound-color like no other Woodwind in the VSL-Collection (in this tone-range)

Of course I am! 😃 Just I'm in the number of the "most guys can't afford the cost of all". But for sure buying immediately 1 or 2 of them at "single instrument" price.
I think the final balance can be an interesting pay-back for VSL, after they sold the actual version to rich collectors and producers.

The reason VSL isn't selling these instruments as singles COULD have something to do with the licensing. For single instrumets that would mean that three seperate licenses would have to be issued for each purchase and remember VSL has to pay e-licenser for those seperate licenses. I think that's right😕 It could be that there is just not enough of a demand for the single Historical Wind instruments to justify the cost? As opposed to say the Saxophones because unless you need them for orchestral work most people just want one or two of the saxes and don't need all of them.
That's one of the reasons why you can't pick and choose which specific articulations from each instrument like "I just want violin stacs detaches and legatos nothing else." The licensing process would become cumbersome and expensive
