  • MIR Pro 24 & Konzerthaus Room pack problem

    Hi

I've just installed these (with latest updates) and when I try tu use Mir pro in VI pro I get the following error:

MIRx Venue Not Available please check that your MIRx Venue is assigned in the directory manager.

How do I fix this, I'm using a macbook pro with latest OS High Sierra

    Thanks, CD

    Hi Colin,

You have requested MIR PRO 24 and the MIR RoomPack 1 as demos. MIR PRO works as a plug-in both in your sequencer and in VE / PRO, please check out our MIR PRO videos here.

MIRx is a different approach, you can request demo licenses on the respective product pages.

Videos for MIRx are available here.

So the decision for you is: Do you want a seated orchestra that is easy to use within VI / PRO => MIRx.

Or do you want the flexibility of free placement in many more venues with the bigger MIR PRO (which also features a MIRx Mode)?

=> In any case, you can check it out with the free demo licenses!

    Best,

  • Hi

I'm not using it with Cubase at the moment, I'm try to get it working with my notation software (Dorico) and the Konzerthaus Organ. I have the Organ loaded into Vienna Ensemble as a VI Pro instrument and playback works fine but I can't seem to get MIRx working with it.

    Thanks, CD

  • HI Colin,

The Konzerthaus Organ already has the room-sound in all samples (it used to be our only exception...).

I'm a bit confused: Would you like to add even more room?

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hi

So, if the Organ already has the room samples in it, does that mean I shouldn't add any reverb to it, if not is there any point in adding MIRx to it?

    Thanks, CD

  • While it is possible to "switch off the hall" of the Konzerthaus Organ by deactivating the VI's release samples, this only makes sense under very special circumstances. In most cases it is ineed the best approach to use the Konzerthaus Organ "as is", especially when using MIRx of Vienna Konzerthaus - Great Hall for the rest of the orchestra. :-)

    Kind regards,
