I've got close to running ALL instruments in different instances on VE Pro6, attached to Cubase 9.5, and in most respects I'm really impressed - it looks like my workflows will be much easier to handle in the future using this method.
But now I'm beginning to wonder what the best approach to mixing is, Either:
1) Mix all sections in VEPro and add all the insert plugins there -and possibly an aux buss or two (which would certainly be my preference to keep things ordered), or
2) Run more dry outputs from VEPro and do most of that stuff in Cubase as before.
I can see that the two main areas of concern would be:
1) latency issues (The big orange button on Cubase to bypass latency when playing in live is a massive bonus) Will VePro add latency with lots of inserts that is unnecessary? Any timing issues?
2) Control issues. ie: Getting midi CC's to seemlessly control with automation things that are happening in VEPro.
Any experiences of this particular issue?
