Here's a demo for percussion and strings, with a creepy atmosphere. All sound fx are from percussion instruments. Hope you enjoy. Happy Halloween!

Great job Guy!
Very beautiful and inspiring composition
Thanks for sharing :-)

Great, Guy, in many ways.
Good original composition, marvellous soundscapes, very functional use of acoustics and ambience, detailed to the hardly audible minimalistic sounds. In short: it keeps one listening until the very end, wondering what will come next...
(I might be wrong, but I thought I heard 3 minor clippings in the loudest passages - could be my gear.)
Fantastic piece!

Hi Guy,
I listened twice again, once with my headphones and once with the monitors. In both cases the clipping sound occurred at 1:57 and at 2:22. It looks that it is related to the sudden incoming piano bass note at high volume. Nothing really disturbing, but it is there.
I hope I helped you with that. Such a wonderful composition certainly deserves a wonderful rendition.
Is that your answer to the ongoing discussion of where music is going to? Not tonal, not atonal or polytonal, but just instruments producing imaginative sounds crafted together to a fantastic sonic world. Music as pure sound experience. How nice is that!
Jos
Thanks Jos! You have a refined ear. With all the objects shaking on and around my speakers, I guess I couldn't tell.
Should be fixed now.
As for the ongoing discussion, I've seen it, and will stay away from it, I have my views on music and prefer to use my time writing music.
ps Ah! Just saw the problem, my limiter was set to zero, I usually set it a 0.5db.

Yes! It is so refreshing to hear that. Unfortunately I got suckered in again - but not again... the only noise I am making is going to be musical. Guy's work here is a real inspiration.

A wise decision and I will attempt to follow your example.

I'm reminded now why I stopped getting into these discussions....
Thank you very much indeed Guy for the Troubled Minds.
Very impressive! Just the sort of music I like this days.
Which strings did you use?
