I have checked and double checked updates etc.
using sibelius 8.6
vienna ensemble pro server 6.0.16502
reinstalled instruments
they are loaded instance in the ensemble pro window and look ready to go, but the piano keys will not trigger a sound, which in the past has meant something is wrong with the connection between the two programs. In sibelius, configuration is Vienna Ensemble Pro, with the sound set Strings. (using solo strings).

Hello John!
On your screenshots everything looks correct. To get a better picture of your problem, I have a few questions.
- Can you see MIDI signals reaching VE Pro? This can be seen in the channel list on the leds beneath the MIDI port.
- Do you get sound, if you play the virtual keyboard with the mouse?
- Can you see, if an audio signal is generated in the instruments? this can be seen on the level meter in the upper right of the instruments.
- Could it be that you didn't set up the correct audio output in the Sibelius Audio Engine Options?
