Big problem with Sibelius and Ensemble Pro Server

Hello, 

i setup a quartet of brass,woodwind, percussion and strings in VE Pro server; then i setup the config in sibelius orderly in order to connect with VE Pro Server and all the slots play beatifully from the sibelius libraries in ensemble pro server in the test button in sibelius. The two programms are connected and playing. 

Now when i'm writting in sibelious score, all sorts of misconnections happen; sometimes some instruments dont play at all, or some dont play the starting articulation of the instrument, for example, cello plays ponticello and not the basic articulation without any command, or others play some empty slots hence nothing is heard. Although, when tested at the sibelius config, they all sound good and with the correct articulation. When writting on the score, there seem to be bugs. 

Notice: When i have setup a string quartet (the soundset is VE strings for all) everything is in order, both in test and in score.  Today i downloaded an update for VE pro server and after that, dont know if it that's the reason or not, i have this outcome with this more complex set of instruments. I tried running a version of VE pro server earlier on 31/5/2017 but still having the same results. So, right now im running 10.12.6 macOS Sierra,  8.5.1 build 569 sibelius, and VE pro server 5 - 31/5/2017

Hello George!

Such a problem can have different reasons, but it shurely has nothing to do with the VE Pro version you have installed. Most likely there is a mistake somewhere in your setup or Sibelius playback configuration. Sibelius is very sensitive to such mistakes. Please check the Troubleshooting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual. All possible reasons and solutions that come to my mid are listed there.

Thank you Andi for your response. I managed to solve the problem myself, it was a combination if things and one important note is that it needed a "none" option at the soundset config in VE pro server device.

Anyway, thanks again, you may disgregard this thread.
