  • Slider Automation in VSL Ensemble POR

    Hello,

forgive me if this ahs been asked before, or when this is the wrong forum entry.

Before purchasing VSL Ensemble Pro I wanted to know if this piece of software has some slider automation present, as e..g. in SONAR where one can automate all sorts of sliders, knobs, wet/dry settings, etc. in order to make them playback while rendering.

    Hi Raymond,

VE PRO offers full Parameter Automation, you can also check it out with a free demo license, available on the product page of VE PRO 6.

    Best,

  • Thank you, Paul.

Great news. I will download the demo version later today.

  • I downloaded the demo version and couldn't get it to work. So I abandoned this whole project and went on with some more urgent composing things. Finally, the first day of the new year, my very first good deed, I purchased VE PRO6 and it kept me busy all day getting it to work under/with Overture. I still don't know why, but just before diner, I finally heard some playback, the very first notes after a whole day work.

Let us say that I am satisfied. Still, I had hoped that VE PRO has volume-slider automation as in SONAR, just click the mouse and move up and down (after having told SONAR to "record") . It is far from that. I see that I must assign a CC for every e.g. volume automation on a strip. Or use some parameter value. One thing I couldn't find in the manual or elsewhere, what is the meaning of those parameter settings and where can I find what they mean?

But, never giving up hope, finally VE PRO 6  will work for me........

I wish you will have a great year 2018,

    Raymond

    Hi Raymond,

When you look at the Overture forum, General Discussion, Master Volume automation, you can see that Tharos has made a very clear document where he explains how to use slider Automation in VSL with Overture.

    https://sonicscores.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=19584

Here is the direct link to Tharos document:

    Maybe you already find it.

    Kind regards,
