Hi Rik,

Here is a link to the system requirements of VE PRO.

There is a version of VE PRO 6 available in our software archive that is still compatible with OS X 10.8 and higher.

Does this mean that both machines in a master/slave configuration would have to have OSX 10.10.5 which is the latest version of Yosemite if I want to run the latest revision of VEPro6?

It is always a good idea to run identical versions of VE PRO 6 on connected computers, but it's not mandatory, technically.
