  • Vienna Imperial - Velocity Problem - soft keystrike

    Hi guys,

i have a little question (or problem). I play on a Yamaha NU-1. It has a piano mechanic in it.

I use the Vienna Imperial Bösendorfer VST in Cubase. First of all, the sound of this product is outstanding, maybe the best out ther. ( i only have a small collection of VST and this one is the best one) 😃

    But....

If i strike the key absolutely soft and slow a sound appears. Normaly there wouldn´t be a sound. On my Galaxy D VST you can setup this, so if you play too soft and slow, there is no sound.

But i cant find the option in this GUI.

  • I'm not very familiar with Vienna Imperial unfortunately (there could be a proper way in the plugin itself), but I can tell you 2 tips:

    1) the first one is to rise the DynamicRange value of your Vienna Imperial. In this way you will not be able to hear any sound if you play softly.

    2) if you use it with a sequencer like Cubase, you could filter midi events under a certain velocity value.
