Playback cuts out on slurred notes of long duration

HELP!!!  I am using Sibelius 7.1.3 and the Vienna Symphonic Library Special Edition 1.  I am starting to get everything to work relatively well.  However, during slurred passages that end in a long note, the long note ends too early (much too early in some cases).  Some instrumentys are worse/better than others:  Flute sucks, horn not that bad, for example.

Can anyone help me figure this out?

Hello Bigtotsky!

The legato patches of the Special Edition are not looped and end after some time. The legato-sus patches crossfade to looped sustain samples after the legato transition and can be held for as long as you like. To trigger the legato-sus patches with Sibelius, use the technique text command "sustain" (only available with the "Vienna Symphonic Library" House Style/Dictionary loaded).

Thanks for providing an answer in a timely fashion.  I could not make it work completely, however.  Here is what I did:

I imported the Vienna Symphonic Library House Style into the score I'm having trouble with.  I added the word "sustain" at the beginning of the section that is giving me problems (at the top for all parts and in individual parts).  I added the word as a "technique" and as an "expression" to see if it made a difference.  The "technique" text worked on some of the voices, but not on all of them.  The piccolo still died out after three or four counts and the tuba and euphonium parts played kind of a quarter-note based replacement rhythm for the long notes.  

What's next?

This problem most likely comes from a mistake in your setup (instruments in the score, playback configuration, settings in the Sibelius mixer) then. The Sibelius playback system is very sensitive to mistakes. Please check all points of the Troubleshooting chapter of the "Optimizing Sibelius Playback" manual.
