I am using VEP6 pro with macbook pro and mac mini via lan. With slave computer connected, my Digital Performer is so sluggish and sounds from the slave computer keeps stutter. When I scroll the mouse I get a instant pause and lost my mouse pointer at sequence window.
When I use VEPro on a same machine I have no problem at all. The weird thing is that I get even lower CPU meter with one machine....
I even tried install DP on mac mini and use my old mac pro for the slave. But still have the same problem.
I have re-installed DP and VEP so many times but still no luck.
Could be the router that makes problem?
Sorry about my lame English...
Wait for you guys help!!
Thanks!!

Welcome Nick,
That sounds like you are maybe connecting via WLAN... You could disable your WLAN quickly, to check.
If that doesn't help, please send screenshots of your network settings (both computers) to support@vsl.co.at, we will help you directly.
You should definitely use static IP addresses, and avoid 169.x.x.x addresses (these are automatically assigned by your computer and tend to change).
Manually assign one of these IP addresses to the computers in your setup: 192.168.0.x or 10.0.0.x, and assign a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 (leave the other fields blank), then it should work.
Best,
Paul

Paul!
Thank you for your quick reply.
I don't use WLAN but I definitely need to check the manual IP addresses for all computers.
I have tried the manual IP address for the slave computer but not for the master computer.
I will go to my studio tomorrow and check if I can solve the problem.
Thank you so much Paul!!
Nick,
